Thank you for your support for me, being elected as the new chairman to the FIP Thematic Philately Commission. The elections took place on 20 June 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia, in conjunction with the "World Stamp Championship". The new Bureau of the Commission is:

First of all, I would like to address the outgoing chairman Dr. Damian Läge from Germany.My deepest respect for his eight years in the leading position of Thematic philately worldwide. - Thank you Damian ,and welcome with your future work for Thematic philately in various roles youwill surely hold.Since you not were able to attend the elections in Jakarta, we will officially thank you on an later occasion, where you are present.My deepest thanks also to the outgoing Secretary of the commission Moreno from Spain.
As the new chairman, I have already implemented a first draft of a roadmap with "mission", "factors for success" and "activities" with the FIP President Tay Peng Hian , who has agreed with the content.In the attached file, I present this first draft of this Roadmap 2012-2016, which will be further developed within the whole Bureau.
I will try to gather the Bureau to an inaugural meeting as soon as possible, in order to "set the settings" and develop the roadmap for 2012-2016.My own federation, The Swedish Philatelic Federation, has granted support to host such a meeting.
The commission is comprised of national delegates from nearly 70 countries.You can find the delegate from your country in the "FIP Commission" section, and you are welcome to write to him/her, if you are looking for contacts with other Thematic collectors or collectors' groups in your country.The most challenging task will probably be to regularly update the content on the website.Please everyone, assist in that work as much as you can!
In conjunction with the "World Stamp Championship" in Jakarta, as the new chairman for the commission, I held a Thematic philately seminar based on the subject "The 4th generation of thematic philately exhibits".I promise to come back to that subject later, but hereby I present the Powerpoint slides shown at the seminar.
